The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at Kasetsart University is proud to welcome 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 as a new faculty member, effective March 16, 2026.

Dr. Marshall is a New Zealand–born interdisciplinary scholar specializing in sustainable development, environmental history, urban futures, and the history of science and technology. He holds a PhD in Science, Technology and Society (STS) from Wollongong University, Australia and an M.Phil. in Development Studies from Massey University, New Zealand. He is internationally recognized for bridging academic research with creative practice and cross-sectoral engagement.

He is an award-winning author of influential books including 𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙞𝙖 2121 and 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨, with publications in global platforms such as the 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 and work featured in international exhibitions, film festivals, and public platforms.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Marshall to the KU academic community and look forward to his contributions to research, teaching, and sustainable development in Thailand and globally.
